Good call, because the movie's better anyway.
I, obviously, have sat down and read the book and it wasn't that great. There are some parts that had a little more detail and were changed to suit the movie, but, honestly, if I hadn't seen the movie first I would've been totally lost and confused through the entire novel. It jumps all over the fucking place.
There were a few parts that still don't make sense, even though I read it twice and saw the film version.
So... definitely don't bother with the book if you should ever, for some unexplainable reason, feel the desire to pick it up.
